When you test drive used cars, you will be observing only a list of general things such as the proper functioning of brakes, gears, etc. However there are a wide range of factors that you need to watch out for. If you buy the used cars, ensure that you get it registered in your name. Else if stolen and reported back, they generally go to ex-owners. You can still claim, but there is an unnecessary delay that you may need to go through and also you might have to hire a car if there is any emergency encountered in the period.

Also when you buy used cars with credit, till you finish off paying the entire amount, the car belongs to the lender or the financial institution. Also a used car must be clear of all the debts. Don’t get cheated by some online companies. Buy from reliable dealers.

While buying clocked cars, there might some techniques the cheater would have employed to make the car not reflect its age. This might have been exercised by replacing of the panel rubbers, gear knobs, etc. Also clocked cars may not have the numbers or the digits aligned exactly. By using a digital clock also, you can check the exact number of miles the car has been driven for.
